Dog name and description: Josie - Western NH She would do good in a family with another dog. She is slower to warm up to MEN No small children. She needs a FENCED yard to burn off energy in. She is good on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She will not share her food with other dogs but is not aggressive with them, she warns them "Hands Off". She will be spayed in AUGUST and THEN will be ready for a forever home. Josie's perfect forever home: Large fenced in yard - SHE MUST HAVE A FENCED YARD Family who likes to play and take her for walks A companion dog People or animals to guard (she isn't “trained” so I wouldn't put her in with livestock but she is absolutely trainable) Predominantly female caregiver A very quiet neighborhood - - - no neighbors to viscously bark at every time she sees them Limited traffic (car/people) coming and going The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html. The dogs are in Foster Home across the Northeast. The adoption fee is $400 due to cost of medical needs of our dogs. $450 for Dogs 12 months and under. We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked by them. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.
