Can you picture yourself waking up every morning, and seeing this beautiful girl with the million dollar smile? Are you a person (or family) who leads an active lifestyle? Are you searching for a big girl (maybe 90 lbs.) who will fit nicely with your other active male dog? Then lucky you, Calli is just waiting to join your family! She is a young Pyr mix with pretty golden markings. We think Calli is a Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix and she has a joy and an exuberance for life. Calli gets along great with the foster’s resident dogs and resident puppy, and is always up for playtime. She is sweet and good natured, and is learning her manners in her foster home. Her foster Mom says Calli loves her pool and playing in the water, but not so much when it comes to bath time. Can’t say as we blame her! This young girl would do best with older children, as she sometimes forgets how big and playful she is, and would love a doggy playmate who can match her energy level. Maybe she would love to be your hiking or running partner if you need one, or even your swimming buddy. Calli is ready, willing, and able to make the transition to her furever home. If you think Calli (the one with the winning smile) is the girl for you, be sure to fill out an adoption application!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
