Layla wants nothing more than to be right next to those she loves. She joined the APA! family when her elderly owner had to go into assisted living and quickly gained volunteer friends at the shelter. In foster care, Layla is her foster mom's shadow and likes to lay under the table while she's working. She's also doing well with her foster's other dogs (check out her video).
When its time for pets, Layla will happily bump your arm with her nose so you know to scratch the sweet spot - right between her ears! She's also house-trained and will let you know when its potty time. Layla likes to occupy her time by chewing on a tasty Yak cheesy bones or a bully strip. Got a Milkbone? Those are her favorites!
As we get older, sometimes things don't work the way they used to. Layla's sight isn't what it once was, and she may be getting a bit creaky, but that doesn't stop her! She maneuvered her foster's home with ease and always knows where her people are. She also knows the importance of exercise, and her favorite time is her daily constitutional. The walk may be short but she heads out with purpose, determined to smell all the smells, and she enjoys her nightly laps around the backyard. Layla loves the outdoors, so if you enjoy gardening, she would enjoy supervising your work.
If your home has a soft spot for a sweet and loyal girl to spend her retirement, Layla would love to meet to you!
