Hello ! This is Lightning !

Lightning spent a lot of time alone in her life and is just now learning how to be part of a family. She seems so grateful to be in a loving foster home and loves getting her pets and will rub against you like a cat or grab you with her paws when she wants attention, but overall all she's very independent. She prefers chilling on her own dog bed, but will always come to check in on you after a bit to make sure you're doing okay.

Lightning is pretty chill for the most part, but she gets so excited and silly when it's time to eat or go on a walk that she jumps and spins in circles! Then once she gets her morning walk, she's happy to settle in and lay around for the day. Lightning is very vocal her in play, but she's learned to play appropriately with the senior Rottweiler and Doberman in her foster home and is also good about sharing her toys and bones with them.

Lightning is fully house and crate-trained, though it's not necessary as she does great left home alone. She loves her Nylabones and taking stuffing out of toys, but she never chews on anything that isn't hers. She's eager to please, listens really well, already knows "sit" and is working on leaving her food until told to eat. She manages the stairs, but has some hip issues and prefers staying on the first floor. Other than that, she's a very easy and low maintenance companion.

Silly, sweet, obedient and an all around well-behaved pup, Lightning is going to make some lucky family very happy. Come meet her!
