Jolene is a super-sweet and beautiful young pup who's extremely cuddly and affectionate and great with strangers. Whenever new people are around, there are lots of tail wags and kisses! She also loves to cuddle with her foster doggie sister and has been very gentle with the dogs she's met.
Jolene has a lot of favorite things, but if she had to pick, it would probably be squeaky toys. In fact, if it's anything that makes noise, Jolene loves it. But her absolute favorite toy is anything her foster doggie sister is chewing on. Jolene is very gentle when they trade toys, and it's very sweet to watch. When the other dog has a toy she wants, Jolene lays in front of her and cries until she gives it up. Besides playing, Jolene's a big fan of napping and eating. And while she gets pretty wild playing with her toys, when she's allowed on the couch, she hops up and curls up next to her foster mom for some snuggle time.
Jolene is still recovering from a broken pelvis, but she's feeling great! So much so that it's a challenge to keep her calm and on crate rest. Jolene wants to do all the things, and she's not going to let something like a broken pelvis keep her down! Her crate training is going well, and her foster mom is working on "calm down" before her crate door is open and "leave it" and "no". Jolene knows these commands but likes to test her limits, and when her foster mom doesn't give in, she follows the commands. She's so excited to get to go anywhere, and when she hears the car keys, she puts her front paws on her foster mom's feet to say "I want to go too!" She also rides great in the car.
Jolene would love a home with a backyard and with people who are looking for a very cuddly dog to include in all their activities. And a doggie playmate would be nice too. If that sounds like yours, come meet this sweet girl!
