Cooder is a good looking and lovable, that's our Cooder. Found as a stray, he's curious, silly, playful and a big, strong goofy dog. A smart boy, too, he's eager to learn and picks up commands quickly. Cooder loves the play of just about any kind—balls to fetch, squeaky toys to toss in the air (and then rip apart!), tug toys, and jumping into the water hose spray. We think he'd love a good swimming hole. He also loves playing with other dogs--as long as the other dog loves to play, too. If you’ll be his playmate, he’ll be yours for life. Cooder needs a large fenced-in back yard or even some farmland--plus another playful dog buddy would help to burn his energy. He's not a good candidate as a "city dog on a leash," however, because he is reactive and worried about all the people, dogs, and things he sees while out walking. That makes him challenging to manage on leash due to his size and strength. (We do not recommend Cooder for a home with young children. He can sometimes be easily spooked by new people or new things, or unexpected sounds or movement.)
